KIRSTENS COOKERY CLUB

We are pleased to announce Jays Cookery Club.

Care Ambassador Jay will be teaching our service users who live in Supported Independent Living how to plan, shop, prep and cook a meal.

This is an opportunity for our service users to practise and develop useful kitchen techniques, cook interesting dishes, improve personal and social skills.

The service users will take it in turns who will host the cookery club and chose the menu for that week. Jay is encourgaing  the service users to go with him shopping each week for the ingredients to promote meal planning.

As well as learning to cook simple, delicious and healthy recipes from scratch, Jay will also be promoting  healthy eating principles.

Staff Fire Safety Awareness Training

Two of our Managers attended and successfully completed a fire safety awareness course.

This was held at Lancashire County Council in Preston.

This was a very informative and interesting seminar.

All information has been cascaded to all Senior Carers to be able to have a more in-depth knowledge when conducting risk assessments in our clients homes.

Keeping clients and staff as safe and aware as possible.
